Services

Empanda offers a range of care and support services for vulnerable adults and those who will benefit from receiving outcome-focussed, personalised, holistic support delivered in a way that best suits the needs and expectations of the individual. Our skilled teams of support workers use a range of methods to engage with our service users on a 1:2:1 basis or in groups.

Our Young People’s Services (YPS) team understands that individuals who are homeless often have other issues too so we work with them to look at all the areas in their lives that they feel they need help with. This may include debt issues, mental health problems, substance misuse problems, learning difficulties or family/relationship breakdown.

We work with each person as an individual and together, we will create a support and risk management plan to tackle every area they need support with.

We offer supported living for adults with a learning disability living in the community. We have various types of accommodation – for example, self-contained apartments and shared houses with flexible care and support packages tailored to the individual and their family’s specific needs.

We help our service users by working with them on money management and budgeting skills, supporting and encouraging them to take an active part in the communities in which they live and encouraging them to get involved with and use local services including:

  • Accessing health services including GPs, psychologists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, specialist liaison nurses and preventative health screening services.
  • Supporting clients to enjoy trips and hobbies including going on holiday as well as accessing local leisure activities.

We also have a respite facility offering short stays from one night to three weeks for adults with a learning disability, allowing their main carers of families to have a break. Both supported living and respite care are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

We manage two purpose-built day centres, supporting adults of all ages and those with physical and mental health needs with enjoyable, therapeutic day care within a safe, homely environment.

Our Day Care teams give service users the opportunity to have fun and socialise with other people whilst offering family carers a well-deserved break.

At Empanda, we like to keep abreast of innovative and effective ways of supporting and motivating people and we embrace change and development in our services.

We are a fledgling organisation with a small portfolio of services which allows us to devote time and energy into listening to our service users and to finding out what they think we do well and what we can do better.

The Empanda team is keen to take on new services and we will use the knowledge and experience we have gained in the early months to support our development and growth into the future.
