Support Worker Apprentice

Salary £8.91 per hour (rising to £9.50 per hour in April)

37 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 0900 to 1730, Friday 0900 to 1700 (may include some weekend working)

Based at Oak Trees, Attleborough

Working in partnership with Norfolk County Council, we are offering an apprenticeship opportunity to an enthusiastic, motivated and passionate individual within our Learning Disabilities Team, who offer a care and support services to develop the independence of adults with a learning disability.

At Empanda, we offer two care and support services to adults with a learning disability – Respite Care and Supported Living.

As a Support Worker Apprentice, you would primarily be based at Oak Trees Respite Service, which is located on the outskirts of Attleborough. Oak Trees is a purpose-built building staffed 24/7, offering short-term accommodation for up to four adults at a time, with over 100 adults staying each year.

You will be working alongside a highly skilled and talented team rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and an organisation recently rated as 9.4/10 as a caring and supportive employer by our Learning Disabilities Team.

Future prospects

The successful applicant will be considered for a permanent role with Empanda if the apprenticeship is completed successfully and has maintained satisfactory performance levels, attracting a salary of £10.00 per hour. A permanent role could also include the potential to work within our Supported Living Service which offers personalised support to people living in their own home.
